£2000 raised in a cake and clothing sale by the recently established Friends of PATCH in the Borders.

The recently established Friends of PATCH in the Borders held a very successful Afternoon Tea at Sorrowlessfield Farm, Earlston, on Thursday 15 September. In addition to an amazing spread of cakes and scones, there was a ladies’ clothing sale by @Twelve in Melrose with 50% of the profits donated to PATCH by proprietor Muriel Scotchmere.

The event raised over £2,000 and all these funds will be used locally to support a joint project with the Borders General Hospital to enhance the skills of nurses working in the general wards of the hospital to deliver quality palliative and end of life care.
